    @mln83

    Thanks for this great plugin. I have a few suggestions to make it even greater for the Social Learner people.

    Consider this: Right now the only way to work collaboratively on documents in BuddyPress is using BuddyPress Docs. Unfortunately that particular plugin has a lot of limitations and problems. To name a few:

    * Auto-save not working + random loss of documents. Co-author claims it works better than expected: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/auto-save-feature-working?replies=3

    * Drain on site resources which possibly leads to fatal errors: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/time-to-optimize-bp-docs-code?replies=2
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/188-internal-server-errors-187-seems-ok?replies=2

    * Irregular update cycle: https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-docs/graphs/contributors

    I really like the idea of collaborative docs but if it should be offered for end users it needs to be more stable.

    So where does BuddyBoss Inbox fit into all this?

    * Auto-save feature – which actually works!

    * Uses native BuddyPress features to send/receive data between selected users. No or limited drain on server resources. User is automatically notified when a new message/doc has been received.

    * Paid plugin. Updates are expected.

    So how could you make BuddyBoss Inbox more friendly for Collaborative docs?
    Lets take a look at how it works now:

    In this example two users are collaborating on a message/doc but the visual interface is not optimal for working on shared docs. I suggest adding an option in BuddyBoss Inbox to allow for a better Docs interface. (Perhaps add an option for this in WP backend):

    Advantages beyond what I already explained above:

    * Possibility to allow for a ‘commenting’ button in TinyMCE so users can comment on previous versions of a message/doc.

    * Easier for users to navigate to previous versions/messages of the same document.

    * When the final document has been agreed upon it can be directly sent to the Teacher/Instructor for review.

    Btw: To allow for Group shared documents BuddyDrive (https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddydrive/screenshots/) – which uses native BuddyPress Attachments API could possibly be a better solution.

    Let me know what you think about this crazy idea?

    Best regards,
    Michael
