I successfully created a (non-course-related) private group. However, the group indicates that there are no admins nor members for the group (see attached screenshot). Furthermore, I’m unable to invite anybody to the group other than friends, even though I’m a system admin.

    What am I missing?

Hi @dbayless, it default BuddyPress nature, you can invite only your friends.

Okay, but why doesn’t the system show me as being a member or admin of the group I created? Is that normal?

@vaparun, I wanted to give you an update on this problem, as I’ve not been able to make progress on resolving the issue:

    • I’m able to create a Group from the front-end.
    • However, upon creating a Group, the Group registers neither an admin nor a member
    • I, and others, are able to join the Group from the front-end as Members. However, I’m not able to add Members to the Group from the back-end.
    • When I try to reset a Group Member’s role from Member to Admin, all Members are deleted from the Group.

I’m perplexed, particularly given that you were able to create a new group and were shown as the new group’s admin. Any suggestions?
