Question
December 29, 2015 at 10:52 am #55186@franceHello !
We just purchased your Boss Theme, along with Wall & Media for our new communauty project.I have followed the videos and looked through a lot of questions and answers from your support forum… which have helped a lot. But I still have questions on different elements I need to tune…
Not sure to be at the right place, but please re-direct me if necessary.
1) Homepage layout question :
I would like to add recent post images (and titles) on the home page… (example : 3 images wide), I have tried with the page builder (adding a grid to the page directly), but it is not a success (I retrieved it since):
A) it seems to create a conflict with my present main image (added with the BuddyBoss Homeslider) because it causes to cut into this image from the bottom – more and more each time the page is reloaded.
B) when I place a widget «recent post» into a space of the page builder grid, the image is showing very little with excerpt text etc. I would really need to have large blog post images that link to the corresponding posts. So I’m not sure I’m doing this the right way…2) Login / Access Question :
I would like to know how to make sure non logged-in users cannot go on logged-in members pages. For example, I noticed that if I type in the URL to the members page, anybody can access the page without login in… I must have skipped a setting somewhere… For our website, the login really separates the community forum etc and we do not want others to access those pages. Thanks in advance, will surely have more questions to come :)

AnonymousHi @france, You can use Visual Composer for page layout building. Please contact us through https://www.buddyboss.com/contact/ to get the current VC version.
To restricts Your Buddypress pages you can use ‘BuddyPress Members Only. Only registered/logged in users can view your site, non members can only open home page/login/register/lost password pages. Logged in users have full access.

1) I will proceed for the Visual Composer in a few days, thanks.
2) For the restricted pages and forum… do you think «Buddypress Members only» can allow certain pages to be blocked and others accessible ? What would be ideal for us is to have 2-3 pages (including a woocommerce boutique in the futur) accessible to all, and other pages including the forum and the calendar bookings (we’ll be using «Event On» plugin) only accessible once loged in.
Looking forward to your precisions,
France
