Question
May 7, 2014 at 10:29 am #26669@ry-macFirst off, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful theme.
I’ve tried a lot of themes, and for ease of use, overall style, and customer support you guys rock!
Also, I do not know if it is appropriate, but I’d like to mention that I have found a compatibility issue with a plugin and the BuddyBoss theme.
Plugin Name: RSS Multi Importer
Issue: Plugin actually works with BuddyBoss. Issue arises once the plugin is activated and you try to Customize Theme in Appearance -> Themes. The Theme customization will sometimes appear. When it does there the buttons will be on the left side of the screen as normal, but are not functional.
I have attached a screen shot.
Quick Fix: Deactivate RSS Multi Importer Plugin, make changes (Customize) to the BuddyBoss Theme as normal, and then re-activate RSS Multi Importer Plugin.
As I stated earlier, BuddyBoss is an AWESOME theme. But as I find glitches, I do report them up; because I’d want to know of any and all issues.
I’ll notify the creator of RSS Multi Importer as well.
Thanks.
Respectfully,

AlyssaParticipant@ry-mac thanks for reporting this. One question though, since this is a root WordPress function. If you change to using the Twenty Fourteen theme and try to customize that theme do you have the same issue?
May 8, 2014 at 12:41 am #26687@ry-mac@tjchester As I’ve said, I don’t think that this is an issue with BuddyBoss. It could be that I have too many feeds, compatibility issues with other plugins and this (RSS Multi Importer) plugin together, etc. I only noticed the quick fix was to deactivate RSS Multi Importer.
I’ll do as suggested and give Twenty Fourteen a try, as well as deactivate all plugins with the exception of bbpress, BuddyPress, BuddyBoss and RSS Multi Importer. After that I’ll start bringing all the plugins back online one at a time to see if I notice where the issue starts.
Thanks for the quick response.
May 8, 2014 at 2:20 pm #26700@ry-mac@tjchester Follow On, if I activate 2014 as my Theme, the issue is not there.
Here’s how I performed my testing:
I stripped everything down to just bbPress, BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, and the RSS Multi Importer. Went to Customize Theme. Only the buttons listed on the left, but not the preview of my website on the right.
I uninstalled RSS Multi Importer and went back to Customize Theme and all appeared as it normally should.
Next Test:
Once again, the only things that were active were bbPress, BuddyPress, Twenty Fourteen, and RSS Multi Importer. Went back to Customize Theme. All appeared as it normally should. As I have specified before, I probably have too many feeds (and Categories). Currently there are 22 Feeds and 18 Categories. It could be said that I’m testing and pushing the limits of the plugin.
With that being said, Twenty Fourteen doesn’t seem to mind the amount of Categories and Feeds.
BuddyBoss doesn’t seem to mind the amount of Categories or Feeds UNLESS I try to go to the Customize Theme area. This is an area I don’t visit that often.
Once again, Kudos to the BuddyBoss Theme and the coders behind it! I still think it ROCKS! The information I have provided is only notify you of a possible conflict for future reference.
FINAL NOTE:
I do not currently have any Cache Clearing plugins loaded yet.Thanks.
