March 11, 2015 at 7:58 am #37150@imdyakovWell, I do not know what was the solution for fixing translation of the Boss Theme at your site so in this case probably you need to wait for TJ’s assistance. 🙂 Sorry for making noise without real output again.

AlyssaParticipant@benworx are you using codestyling plugin? If so, you need to recreate the MO file after each change to push them live.

Varun DubeyJanuary 8, 2016 at 3:42 am #55816@redskywalkerDid anyone already found a solution to this problem? I’m experiencing the same problem.
After completely removing all files from the HTML root I’ve fully reinstalled the whole setup: WP 4.4.1, BuddyPress and boss theme 2.0.5. I’m not using a child theme.
After this I tried editing the Dutch po files with: Loco translate, poedit, potools, codestyle.
None seem to do anything. Though the translation do get written in the po files. They don’t show up onsite.
I didn’t go into the Boss theme files. I did however found out that ONLY the boss theme is affected. WP 2016 theme for example doesn’t have this issue.
Problem remains in the BOSS Theme.
I’m really craving for a fix!
Anyone?

– After completely removing all files from the HTML root I’ve fully reinstalled the whole setup: WP 4.4.1, BuddyPress and boss theme 2.0.5. I’m not using a child theme.
– I change the line of code used for the location of the language files. This is theme-functions.php.
– After this I tried editing the Dutch po files with: Loco translate, poedit, potools, codestyle.
– None seem to do anything. Though the translation do get written in the po files. They don’t show up onsite.! I did however found out that ONLY the boss theme is affected. WP 2016 theme for example doesn’t have this issue.
! WPLANG is no longer being used. I don’t understand why your support advised using this?
! Also the problem has been reported almost a year already. Still no fix?
! I don’t understand why support keeps advising the same problem-solving-routine?
Problem remains in the BOSS Theme. I guess it’s related to the REDUX Framework.
I’ve found several locations where language files are stored in the BOSS Theme
boss/languages/
boss/buddyboss-inc/buddyboss-framework/admin/ReduxCore/languages/
boss/buddyboss-inc/buddyboss-framework/admin/ReduxCore/inc/themecheck/lang/I’m really craving for a fix!
Anyone?
January 8, 2016 at 4:35 am #55822@redskywalkerSorry for the repost. I didn’t notice it! Can anyone clear the first two posts?

AnonymousHi @tuinmarktenadmin,
You can ignore
boss/buddyboss-inc/buddyboss-framework/admin/ReduxCore/languages/
boss/buddyboss-inc/buddyboss-framework/admin/ReduxCore/inc/themecheck/lang/You can get language files from
boss/languages/
and copy them inside
wp-content/languages/themes/
with proper language extension, you can switch the language from your general settings. Please create a new topic for any further queries, current thread is very old one which was already solved.
