Line breaks in BuddyPress group forum

I’m honestly not sure if this is a theme issue or a BuddyPress issue, but I figured I’d start here and see where things go.

In my main bbpress forums, we can easily add line breaks just by hitting return/enter two times. However, in the forums that are tied to BuddyPress groups, while writing a post it looks like the line breaks are there, but once the post is published there aren’t any line breaks.

Any thoughts on what may be causing this and how to fix it?

@amy-l-scott can you send me a link to your forums to see if it is a formatting issue or automated removal of line breaks issue?
