Question
March 12, 2015 at 7:46 pm #37219@kalicoThis might seem counterproductive…but here’s what I’m doing: I have a multi-site install of WP for one company, with each subsite handling a different piece of the site functionality. One (the main) site is a community, running BuddyPress and BuddyBoss. I want all the sub-sites to match the theme of the community, but have slightly different features in the navigation menu, sidebars, etc….so I have a slightly different BuddyBoss child theme activated on each subsite. I run the full-width header.
This is all working fine, except for one thing: the only site that has the register/login button is the site running BuddyPress. I want this same register/login at the top of every site, so if the user happens to come directly to a subsite, they always have the same option to register/login to the main site, then be redirected back to where they started.
I have examined the header.php code, and played around with removing the “if buddypress is active” statements that drive the reg/login functionality. Removing them and going with the straight PHP broke everything (white screened the site).
I’m hoping there’s a way to accomplish this, and would greatly appreciate any assistance.
Thanks! 🙂
