Question
September 5, 2014 at 6:06 pm #31335@adminzenoedI installed BBM, but did not select “arrange photos in year/month”. Was playing with the permalink and regen_thumbnail. Then when I went to the Media library … oMG!! half of my images (i suspected the unattached ones) were shown as having url of http://domain.com/wp-contents///xxxxx.jpg instead of http://domain.com/wp-contents/year/month/xxxx.jpg in the media editor.
i checked that the urls on wp_posts and even bp_activitie are correct but the media url in the library is showing http://domain.com/wp-contents///xxxxx.jpg which i cannot change, and of course cannot see the img— do u guys ever faced this?

AlyssaParticipant@adminzenoed can you explain in a bit more detail by what you mean to play with the permalink and regen_thumbnail…are these plugins? Is this affecting the front end images? Is this only happening with posts?
September 7, 2014 at 7:46 am #31374@adminzenoed1. I installed BBM
2. In BBM, there is an option to “arrange photos in year/month” which I didnt select
3. Installed WP4.
4. Went to wp permalink setting — change to a few options and saved, beforereverting back to the existing (before BBM installation).
5. Checked the Media page in wp dashboard — saw a lof of photos not showing
6. Ran the regenerate thumbnail plugins.
7. Went back to the Media library … oMG!! half of my images (i suspected the unattached ones) were shown as having url of http://domain.com/wp-contents///xxxxx.jpg instead of http://domain.com/wp-contents/year/month/xxxx.jpg in the media editor. These were in the backend. However, when I went to the frontend — the images uploaded (via buddyboss attach photo) in the activity stream are not showing.. despite the url is correct in the wp_posts. The url is wrong in the media library edit screen … showing http://domain.com/wp-contents///xxxxx.jpg instead.
Not really sure how it happend and not sure if this is due to BBM. I have now deleted the whole broken photos using the media library; and also deleted the activities. Now, if only I can re-post the activities (with past dates) ?

AlyssaParticipant@adminzenoed BBM does not affect photos in the dashboard>media section. Only photos uploaded via BuddyPress. I think this may be the regenerate thumbnail plugin issue. I quickly glanced at their support forums and it seems they are having a bunch of issues. Perhaps you can find if this issue is one of them to confirm.
