Not able to create groups

Hi guys…

I’m not able to create groups even tho I have the setting checked on the administration area. Am I doing anything wrong?

@estegonza2002 Welcome to the BuddyBoss community! There is nothing within the theme that would prevent this unless you selected the option that only admins can create groups and you are logged in as a non-admin. I doubt this is the case so you most likely have a plugin conflicting with the group creation process. I suggest you try disabling them to try and narrow down the culprit.

I have disabled all plugins except for buddy press. here are 2 screenshots http://d.pr/i/13rd4 and http://d.pr/i/12gr6 so you can see the settings.

I see no add/create group button.

Am I doing anything wrong?

your first screenshot indicate you’re inside a members’ group list, so you can not see that button that way.

you need to be on the Groups list page to see the button…

usually yoursite.com/groups/ …

@estegonza2002 Jean-Pierre is correct. That page is only to view YOUR groups. You will need to navigate to the main group page to create a group.

btw, a suggestion @tjchester … add a button on that page *logically, the button is supposed to be present where we “manage” our groups.

@jeanpierre this is not added by BuddyPress by default, I’m not certain why but I am certain they have talked about it and did not put it there on purpose.
