    @malecare

    I am uploading a new installation of Boss 1.1.2 on my wp4.1.1 site, twiceasmany.org and it will not allow me to upload the child theme. It uploads the parent theme just fine and you can see it under Appearance > Themes, but then when I try to install the child theme it says, “The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, boss, before you can use this child theme. Theme installed successfully.” But you don’t see the child theme in Appearance > Themes. When I go to the files it’s there under wp-content > themes, but they are listed as “Boss-2” and “Boss-child-2″ I’ve left my site with the parent theme activated, so that you can see it is there, but I am unable to activate the child theme, which is what I want to do. Please help

    Just to be clear, Boss-2 and Boss-child-2 are installed. I can see them in >edit themes. And, on the >themes page, I see and have activated the parent theme, but I do not see the child theme. What I do see is:Broken Themes

    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Name Description
    Boss. Child Theme The parent theme is missing. Please install the “boss” parent theme.

    hi @malecare, please rename the main theme folder to boss , if you change the parent theme folder name child needs corresponding changes to get linked with parent theme.

    @malecare future reference the child theme would have needed to be named boss-2-child but I’ll close this out anyway 🙂
