PHP Error when activating Theme for first time

I just barely purchased the BuddyBoss theme. And when I activate the theme I get an error that says

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_notifications_get_all_notifications_for_user() in /nas/wp/www/staging/miahope361/wp-content/themes/boss/buddyboss-inc/theme-functions.php on line 2236

I’m not sure if this is related, but now my buddypanel doesn’t expand and minimize. and nothing seems to work correctly on my profile page.

I went to line 2236 on the theme-functions file and commented it out, and now my site works and the buddy panel works fine now.
