Question
November 18, 2014 at 5:03 am #33529@cfcommunityHi guys,
I’m using the BuddyBoss Wall plugin for the Likes functionality and the “Wall” feature itself. I would also like to use the custom Newsfeed you’ve created because it does a good job in creating a Facebook like experience. The only problem is that I’d like to put the “Newsfeed” under an activity tab so you would have something like
“Newsfeed”
“All Members”
“My Groups”
“My Likes”Is there a way to achieve this? If this is not possible could I sponsor the development of this feature to make it happen?
I’ve attached a mock-up screenshot to show you how it would look like 🙂

AlyssaParticipant@cfcommunity I think you mean you want to add “All Members” tab to the profile. This one does not currently exist. Please confirm.

Haha not really 🙂 What I want to do is replace the default “My Friends” feed (that only shows the activity of your friends) with the “Newsfeed” stream that does a much better job of creating a useful stream (since it includes your activity, your friends activity and group activity).
Does that make more sense? If you look at Facebook the “Newsfeed” is not located on a users profile but on the homepage. I’m doing exactly the same with my project but would like to make the default Activity Stream (My Friends in my case) a lot better by wanting to utilise your custom “Newsfeed” stream.
So now the question is would this be possible?

AlyssaParticipant@cfcommunity to clarify once again: So you want to replace the “My Friends” tab and call it “Newsfeed” and have it be the default tab when navigating to a user’s profile?
November 19, 2014 at 12:48 pm #33556@cfcommunitySorry for the confusion but that’s not what I want.. Let me use your BuddyBoss theme as an example. It’s not about the member profiles, it’s about the Activity component (where the “My Likes” are also shown.
Please see the attached screenshot.
Making the “Newsfeed” available as a Activity Tab instead similar to the Facebook experience (where the Newsfeed is also an ajax updated stream on your homepage and not on your profile page).
Hope this makes sense 🙂

AlyssaParticipant@cfcommunity I understand now, I thought you wanted it the other way around. This would take some work to get going. Feel free to fill out a quote request here and we can try to work on this with you: https://www.buddyboss.com/contact/
