March 1, 2016 at 9:16 am #60927@twistedhornWe are testing the register function of my site, and its not sending the activation email to the registers account. Its not in bulk, spam or anything.

March 1, 2016 at 1:22 pm #60963@twistedhornI installed the Easy WP SMTP Settings, and tried configuring my email account from my service provider, but it wont even send a test email.
I have tested the initial new user registration email, and the forgot password email and neither work.

AnonymousHi @twistedhorn, Take the basic steps that should follow when you encounter a problem like this:
Deactivate all your other plugins
switch to a ‘default’ theme e.g. 2015
Does the problem still persist after you’ve done this?If not start building up from there switching back to your theme, activating plugins until you find where the clash is.
Contact to your hosting provider
Once you have more information, and if you can’t solve the problem, you’d be best to seek further advice in the BuddyPress support forum: https://buddypress.org/support/

March 2, 2016 at 7:59 am #61103@twistedhornI can now send a “test” email from Easy WP SMTP settings page, but the registration email is still not being sent to the user.
March 2, 2016 at 8:54 am #61105@twistedhornOk, looks like I have the registration email working. Now, the forgot password and activation key is my next obstacle and doesnt seem to be working.
March 2, 2016 at 9:47 am #61109@twistedhornIt is stating “invalid activation key”. Is there a way to disable this and just send a temp password or something? It is not sending any activation key to the registered users email address currently.

AnonymousHi @twistedhorn, You can use BP Disable Activation Reloaded plugin, it disables the activation email and automatically activates new users in BuddyPress under a standard WP / BP install.

BuddyBoss SupportMarch 4, 2016 at 4:18 pm #61531@twistedhornWell, that completely crashed my site after installing that plug in.
This is the error I am getting now when I go to my website: Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed; If you would like to pass argument by reference, modify the declaration of do_action(). in /home2/wabnvi0aa3zi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bp-disable-activation/bp-disable-activation.php on line 130
Any help is greatly appreciated @pallavl

The registration function is working perfectly, but the forgot password is not. When I click on forgot my password on the log in screen, it sends me to a Invalid activation key prompt. I never get an email, or anything with an activation key. Any ideas on how I can update this?
March 7, 2016 at 3:01 pm #61944@twistedhornI am actually getting closer..
When I click on forgot password, it takes me to: http://mysite.com/my-account/
I need it to actually go to: http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
I cant find where to update this at..
