Question
October 9, 2015 at 3:20 pm #48338@mln83For a logged-out user or a user who is not a friend is it somehow possible to limit what can be seen about another users activity, friends, groups, forum activity and so on?
Best regards,

AnonymousHi @mln83
These are BuddyPress specific limitation, you can check privacy setting for the xprofile fields,
For group they can be private or hidden and same for their group related activities
If you are using Wall plugin you can option for activity restrictions as well

A follow up question: Is it possible to hide sidebars for logged-out users?
October 10, 2015 at 4:06 am #48364@mln83I have also found some custom code here to add privacy for users:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-add-profile-privacy-to-buddypress/How about making a BuddyBoss Privacy plugin where users can choose how much to show utilizing this code snippet?

Anonymoushi @mln83
You can hide widgets on the basis of login / logout condition, for the sidebar you will need to edit the template files
RegardsOctober 12, 2015 at 8:54 am #48522@mln83I can also recommend the ‘Restrict Widgets’ plugin – this way it’s possible to organize and handle which widgets a logged in / logged out user can see.
