SendGrid – From source doesnt have permission with this token

Hi @vapvarun,

just purchased your great plugin but won’t work for my test site. SendGrid is now configured correctly but got the message for Incoming Email: From source doesn’t have permission with this token (protocol tab).

Please find attached the Email I got back after the send failed.

Question: Is it right that I don’t have to create an Email account for Email reply “[email protected]” ?

This was the suggestion I got from your plugin.

Please make sure your dns is propagated and white level settings are verified by sendgrid

OK it works now. After SendGrid verification I had to wait some hours again. Unfortunately if you use templates, and templates are the sense of SMTP services like SendGrid, the view is strange. I want to show you three examples.

First screenshot, the Email a recipient got. Nice template with line “— Write ABOVE THIS LINE to post a reply —”

Second screenshot the recipient replied and the sender got a message on his message. The message is ugly because of the formatting characters of the template.

Third screenshot shows you the message within the buddyboss environment.

For now your plugin makes only sence if you don’t use templates. But then I do not need SendGrid really. It would be great if your handling could be mor useful with templates.

I use plugins “WP Better Emails” for creating templates and “SAR Friendly SMTP” as SMTP service sending over SendGrid. SendGrid has a plugin too and I tested it, but SendGrid writes each message in body tag in one line.

But unfortunately there is still one issue with forwarding Email addresses I just described here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/issue-with-forwarding-emails-and-sendgrid?replies=1

If a user uses a forwarding Email like “[email protected]” (e.g. forwarded to [email protected]) the Email will not delivered. After changing the Email in backend (admin) mode to something else, Email has been delivered immediately after saving the profile.

It’s tricky what I found out. If I use non-forwared Emails everything works like a charme. So it seems your plugin blocks the process to work with forwarded Emails right.

I tested several SMTP plugins and still use “SAR Friendly SMTP” plugin because of its pure Email delivering.

It would be great to check this again.

Unfortunately have to deactivate your plugin again 🙁

PS: Is there a significant avatage for me with your plugin “BuddyBoss Inbox 1.0.3”? I’m asking because it would be great to test it before I buy, because of the issues I have with “BuddyBoss Reply by Email”. Thank you
