Sharing Activity Doesn't Share image

Hello, We are using BP Reshare to give users the ability to share posts from the wall or news feed. I certainly wish the Boss theme had it’s own Share button ability, it would really make the theme that much better!

However, when we use BPReshare and share a post that has an image…the image doesn’t follow the share. So on the wall that it is shared on simply says ‘User’ shared post from ‘Users’ wall. And that’s it. Therefore, nobody knows what was shared and it doesn’t show on the wall if there is an image that is.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as i will certainly make users wonder why they are trying to share an image and the image isn’t sharing.

BPreshare only includes activity content, does not include complete activity meta data in reshares.
I have included your feedback in our suggestion list.

Is there a way to include complete activity in the reshare? I do find it hard to believe that a theme as extensive as BOSS doesn’t have a share button to share from wall to wall…

Hi @cveilleux11 Share functionality for BuddyPress is not available in its core and available plugins only share links not the content.
BPreshare is close approach but it is also outdated.
Activity meta is dynamic data, any plugin developer can not guess which metadata will be populated, because it different for different plugin which post some activities.
BPreshare need to be modified to add support for set of plugins.
