I need some help!! Please!

I tried entering a command in my child theme and it brought my site down. My hosting service was able to disable the boss theme and get the site back up, but when I re-activated the child theme, it happened again. Can someone please help me re-activate my child theme that I worked hard to fine tune??

The error happened when I was trying to redirect users who click on the forgot password link to another link instead.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its hard for me to say now. It was one i found on one of the forums. When I go to my site now I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”lostpassword_url\’, \’my_lost’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in /home2/wabnvi0aa3zi/public_html/wp-content/themes/Boss-Child-1/functions.php on line 58

Hi @twistedhorn, You have added your function in child-theme’s function.php.

Go to the child theme folder and open function.php file at line no. 58 (where you have added your code) remove it from there.

And then, let me know what you need so I could suggest you better.

I got it working again. Thank you for the help. Maybe you can advise me on my issue so I dont bring the site down again.

I am trying to redirect users who click on “forgot password” link.
Currently it takes them to this link: http://mysite.com/my-account/
I need it to toke them to:
http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

The forgot password link on my site is now directing to a 404 page

http://mysite.com/lostpassword/?redirect_to=

How to I get it to direct to:
http://mysite.com/my-account/

I tried a few plug ins, but they didnt work. I de-activated them currently.

There has to be somewhere on one of the custom CSS templates that is directing users to that link, that I should be able to edit and direct to another link correct?
