Question
November 30, 2015 at 3:18 pm #53216@nurseprofSearch Results for ‘I have just purchased the Social Learner package after reading one of the Learn Dash blogs. So far, my experience has not been good. I followed the response to another person looking for the Social Leaner tutorial. That person was told to download several plug ins and then use the Word Press importer to import the demo. I tried that – however, the Word Press Importer will not take the file that was provided:
Sorry, there has been an error.
This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version numberAfter reading all of the posts in the Social Leaner thread, I’m beginning to wonder if this is a beta product that cost me $100…..I have used many Word press themes and products – simple with good tutorials. I was so excited about this product – mostly based on the trust I have in Learn Dash and the excellent response I receive from their support. I was hoping this would be the same.
Please let me know how I can import the demo…..I think I can tweek it from there.
Hoping for a speedy response (last submission – no response yet).

PallaviDecember 1, 2015 at 6:29 am #53279@nurseprofI have seen and watched these tutorials. The one that is specific to Social Learner – Learn Dash mentions that I need the tutorial for Buddy Press plug in…..but when I watched that one, it wasn’t clear how it all connected and flowed so that I ended up with a product similar to the demo. As an educator for MANY years, I strongly urge you to create ONE tutorial that takes the purchaser through each of the steps to create the demo – incorporating what is needed from each of the plug ins. It’s simply too confusing the way it’s set up here……especially for those of us who are experts on teaching and not technology.
AS for the demo link, I will try to unzip the file and extract the necessary file. This takes me beyond my comfort zone but I will try. I added all of the plug ins with the exception of Buddy Boss wall and Media. I didn’t want to spend any more money (they have a cost) and I don’t need their functionality. I’m hoping that will not present a problem. Please advise.
I’m assuming that if I can get the demo in place I will be able to tweek it as if I set it up from scratch myself.
Thank you for your response,
PatDecember 1, 2015 at 8:55 am #53314@nurseprofI made it this far in the Buddy Press for Learn Dash tutorial. My left column does not appear anything like this one. There is no Social Leaner color scheme.
December 1, 2015 at 8:56 am #53315@nurseprofIt appears I can’t post a screen shot showing you this.

Varun DubeyDecember 1, 2015 at 11:16 am #53328@nurseprofEven now, I am not sure what you are suggesting. I do not want to pay any more for this ….however, if you will configure the site at no additional cost, I would be okay with that…..when I go to the contact page, what option would I choose in the scroll down box, exactly what information do you need for the website, and how will this generic contact page know that it is in response to this thread?
