Question
April 13, 2015 at 11:20 am #38882@ubrandonHello!
Any way to make the full width slider static on the front page, and remove the controls? I love the full width functionality though and title over the image. Should I use the full width template or is that different? Thanks!

AlyssaParticipant@ubrandon it seems it would be easier to disable the slider, upload a photo with width 100% and style this manually.
April 14, 2015 at 6:44 pm #38926@ubrandonNot sure how I would make just the image full width like the slider does and also make it fully responsive, so I just copied the slider php file into my child theme and set duration to ‘0’ and arrows to ‘0’. If you guys update the slider I will need to redo it, but it works for now until I find another solution. Thanks!
April 14, 2015 at 8:16 pm #38927@ubrandonI would actually like to know how to make a full width image for special pages. Is there a way to mimic the homepage slider where it is full width but there is still a sidebar below? Thanks!

AlyssaParticipant@ubrandon you can simply add
width:100%
to any image and it will be fully responsive. I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘still a sidebar below’April 20, 2015 at 7:55 pm #39175@ubrandonThanks TJ!

AlyssaParticipantYou’re welcome
August 13, 2015 at 2:58 pm #44416@ericreynoldsBrandon is correct. However, the file is titled content-slides.php. Just open up a copy of the file, make the following changes, and then upload the file into your child theme folder.
If you want a single slide to display without reloading the image and text, set the duration and pause to “0”. If you want to lose the arrows, set arrows to “0” as well. 🙂 Eric
