If you create more than one profile group in buddypress, and one of the pages contains a textarea field, there is a validation error when trying to change the page.

Even though there are no changes, a flash error comes up saving changes will be lost.

    Hi @stackstreetnew
It’s default BuddyPress alert, it’s not theme issue.
You can also test it with default WP themes.

HI @vapvarun — im sorry but I’ve tested this and You are 100% wrong. When no change to ANY field has been made, there should not be a warning saying there are unsaved changes. This is triggered by a conflict between your theme, and textarea fields.

add a TEXTAREA field to your theme demo, and you will see the issue. This does not happen on any other theme or buddypress site. it is an error, and a bad one.

    Hi @stackstreetnew
I will definitely accept it if it was from theme codes.
Tested with default WP theme and activated only BP plugin.

You can also check with any 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 WP theme with only BP plugin.

@vapvarun TEXTAREA field (its the bigger field with multiple lines and tinyMCE editor). In your example you are editing a SINGLE LINE FIELD.

Add a TEXTAREA field to your Social Blogger demo and you will see the same error I am getting. Please check ASAP

also if you read my original message, i am not entering ANY data into the TEXTAREA field. The validation flash to not lose unsaved changes is triggering even though no changes are being made to the TEXTAREA field. It flashes every single time.

In your example you are entering data, and then trying to change the tab, and the flash appears as it should.

    so:

    1. Add TEXTAREA field to your theme.
    2. Click to different tab (without entering any data).
    3. Popup will flash.

I have tested this a ton, its a really bad bug that needs to be fixed asap
