Question
October 26, 2015 at 5:25 pm #49816@wp_flamingoHi BuddyBoss,
I updated Boss version 2.0.0 and the tittle bar menus are broken!!! The site become super slow. Our students complain about it, our new student thought that we were spammer!!!
I don’t want to be like a super idiot here. But Could we focus on our teaching? If we are programmer we wouldn’t consider buy your theme. We bought it because we thought it would help us improve our business. But in contrary, we spent most time to configure the theme and your plugin more than ever focus on our content!!!
Every time new update, there are always problems. this time is just too much for me!!!
1. Tittle Bar menus are broken
2. Our appointment calendar are broken!!! (it’s very important for our business)I do not understand really why does it cause so many issues on this theme ever before!
please consider a real solution on how you may really solve on your theme issue!!
As i attached the screenshot it’s just unbelievable for me that this is a premium theme and the most expensive one!!
Regards,

October 26, 2015 at 8:07 pm #49830@davejayDuch, you also have to update your Social Learner Child theme to version 1.0.4. Since child themes don’t update automatically, you’ll have to download it from your “My Downloads” section here on BuddyBoss.com and update it manually. The header menu issue will resolve once you’ve done the update.
October 26, 2015 at 8:47 pm #49834@wp_flamingoHi @davejay,
Thank you very much. I didn’t know that. How could we know if the social learner child theme will be updated too? I didn’t attempt to be rude. But It was unpleasant when students couldn’t use the site. and i have no idea how were the issues. Since I have very little knowledge of coding. I hope BuddyBoss could manage better notice for users otherwise, we all would have to be surprised with every new update.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help!
Have a nice day,

Anonymous@vapvarun,
I second the complain. You have to do better to make life easy for us and our students, not for yourself.
After updating to Boss 2.0.1 from 1.2.2 the title bar menu was gone and appeared only by hovering over it. So I have restored the old version for the moment. Plus, it seems that you have finally worked on the fonts; a note on that would be great.
Kind regards.
Nicole
October 30, 2015 at 12:17 pm #50179@onefreeinternetI just installed 2.0.1 and the title bar menu is still broken. Has this been fixed in 2.0.1 or do I have to install my child theme all over again to see the issue fixed? Also frustrated.

October 31, 2015 at 5:20 am #50227@wp_flamingoPlease treat us as customer one not the tester one.
1. Since I bought learndash I open the ticket only one time. Then i never have any issues.
2. I used to use university theme from themeforest I open the ticket for support only 2 times. And never have any issues.
3. With Social Learner, I cannot count how many time I have to ask for help. It has been every time of boss update. Do you think is it normal? We are trying to be patient and respectful but there is the limit on that too. not every single update. how could we run the business like that? please tell us?
I thought once would want to have buddyboss to do more costume work… but I have to reconsider.
I use social learner for my 2 sites. One already took off, we started to earn from our teaching and we have 48 paid students so far. The other site is still under configuration. So Now! Please tell us Could we rely on your theme? Could we trust you to do the business?
I don’t know what else i could say more. but I really want to hear from the buddyboss that would say yes we could rely on them.I do hope, BuddyBoss could understand this simple message!

AnonymousHi @wp_flamingo, @nmschaller @onefreeinterne
Sorry, We missed to notify about about big changes, we are deep testing everything and each fixed is double tested by testers.
Mike had also explain in few on threads
We have refocused the team now so that everyone is working on product development, and you should see a lot of new products and updates coming out in the coming weeks. Boss 2.0 is evidence of the renewed focus, it combines a huge array of things customers have been requesting since it was first released and is a major improvement. Boss 2.0 went through an enormous amount of testing, many hours per day all day for weeks, and it is very stable. We took care to make sure every option was migrated into the improved options panel automatically on update, and tested this over and over. There may be some hiccups for people updating if they made edits previously. We cannot prevent people from editing code in a child theme, and this always has the possibility of breaking during an update as code will differ between the parent and child theme… I wish there was a way to prevent this, but there is not. When you update a plugin it’s not the same, as you are unlikely to have edited the code of your plugin prior to updating.
For the customization concern , header.php and footer.php both are modular now
If you have made any customization in both of them please match the structure from Parent theme file, it will fix issues related to them.Regards

Anonymous@varundubey,
Actually, I am refocusing right now: back to Woothemes Canvas and pure bbpress forums for learning groups.
I will contact you next week for a refund because I am completely dissatisfied with Social Learner. It has stolen me so much time over the past 4 months.
You are giving Lean Startup a bad reputation by continuously deploying bad code.

October 31, 2015 at 1:17 pm #50259@wp_flamingoHi @vapvarun,
Honestly I have never touched any header.php or footer.php It’s as it’s from the theme. I have rarely do any customization.
I updated to boss 2.0.1 and child theme 1.0.5… Please have a look at the screenshot. I could try to edit the css but it should be on the theme default don’t you think?
1. Panel Links:
The WordPress menu “Titlebar” can optionally be displayed in the left mobile panel. I set as “Display above other links” Please see my screenshot, how it looks.. And i think, It should be fixed from default theme updated… not self edit. This issue accrued since the Boss 2.0.0, you said it will be fixed in 2.0.1 hence it’s still not fixed.
2. Mobile slide not really optimization. Please see the screenshot
And again, I never ever touch any code from header and footer.
Please tell me, should these be buddyboss concern?

AnonymousHi @wp_flamingo
Panel Links are working fine with both selection options we have tested with both approach, without adding any custom css.
Please send you login details again , i will check them at your website. For slide, It definitely theme issue on which developers are notified and we will fix it shortly.
Be sure, our future updates will be more proper and well tested and they will also have more compatibility with custom edits.

AnonymousHi @adminchroncleproject-com, It an minor css issue inside the Boss theme
Please paste your site url, i will provide your corresponding custom cssWe are calculating height of the upload logo and the basis of uploaded logo height we are generating runtime css
At present that calculation works for Boss theme not for social learner, We have fixed this issue in our development version. It will be pushed shortly.Regards
