Question
June 30, 2015 at 10:18 am #41942@leonardoariasHi @tjchester and @michael,
I am trying to put it all together, just as the demo. But, I cant seem to figure out how to make it all happen.
Is there a tutorial for this? That would be just great. I checked the tutorials section and there is no detailed explanation on how to set it all up as the demo (Sensei, BadgeOS, etc). I am trying to put it all together but I wouldn’t mind some guidance. 🙂
Thanks guys!

June 30, 2015 at 2:19 pm #41949@leonardoariasSo I created a fresh installation, where I am trying to get the look and feel of the demo.
No luck, yet 🙂
When I activate the Social Learner child theme, the “notifications icon” on the top, disappears.
Also, the user name disappears (the name that is displayed by default next to the users profile photo, in the top-right corner of the site. And, the colors are messed up. They don’t match the demo.
I activated the necessary plugins, and installed all as per what the tutorials of Boss Theme explain.
Let me know what I could be missing. Thanks.
I have sent you both (@tjchester and @michael) a private message with admin access to this fresh new installation.
Looking forward for your input. Thanks guys.
July 1, 2015 at 3:57 am #41973@leonardoariasOk. I am getting somewhere 🙂
UPDATES TO REPORTED ISSUES:
1. “When I activate the Social Learner child theme, the “notifications icon” on the top, disappears.”
UPDATE: THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE. I CANT FIND WHERE TO ACTIVATE THE NOTIFICATIONS ICON. IT JUST SHOWS THE CART ICON.
2. “Also, the user name disappears (the name that is displayed by default next to the users profile photo, in the top-right corner of the site.”
UPDATE: So the name doesn’t disappears, but its not visible since the font color is white. Once I select another scheme color, it is visible. So, it seems that the other scheme colors are not changing the name text color as they should do, so we can use other scheme colors and not just the default one.
July 1, 2015 at 8:58 am #41980@leonardoariasUPDATE:
When I “deactivate” Woocommerce, the “cart icon” disappears and the “notifications icon” shows up. So, the child theme is just displaying one of them at the time. From my perspective, the Notifications Icon is way more important. And, if both icons can’t be there (because the space there is tight), I would suggest that we place the “cart” icon next to the “collapse icon” or right next to where the “search icon” is right now. Either way, “notifications icon” should be always on top. So people can easily see whats up.

AnonymousOk, changing the color scheme to social learner seems to fix that stuff. Have you tried that?

AnonymousI see what you are talking about now. When I activated woocommerce the title-bar menu disappeared, the title bar got larger and other things. There seems to be a issue with woocommerce and the theme.

AnonymousSorry for another post. I think I found the issue with the cart disappearing. The issue is with the minify plugin. When deactivated it works great.

AnonymousHi @chansmith , Both the notifications and cart icons will become hidden, as the screen size becomes smaller developers have set minimal screen size 1680×1050 at present. As the screen becomes smaller, we have to abandon some items. i have suggested developers to consider for 1366×768 resolution to display both cart and notification. 1366×768 is most common resolution for desktop version.

AnonymousI finally figured it out. It would be nice the setting was for a smaller screen though or make the notification to show up first.
July 8, 2015 at 12:09 pm #42305@frontiersI can’t find any documentation on Social Learner. Is that under tutorials or is there start up guide info around on the support forums somewhere?
