Upload video directly from iPhone

We would like to let the users record and/or upload video directly from their iPhone’s / mobile devices in their status posts on BuddyBoss, just as you can for instance on Facebook, do you have any solution or plugin for this or is it not possible in BuddyPress?

@fjalldal BuddyPress Activity Plus is the plugin you are looking for I believe. rtmedia would be my second choice recommendation

Hi TJ, But we have a problem with links from Vimeo app on iPhones and iPads to be copied on the status field in BuddyBoss.

After you record a video on your iPhone and uploading video to Vimeo app is there a error with IOS function “Copy URL”. It cannot be copied into the status field in Buddbypress.

If you copy the link into another place on the iPhone for example to a text message, copy the link again with IOS feature “copy”, then it works fine in Buddypress.

Can you help here.

@fjalldal if it happens with the default wordpress theme twentyfourteen then it will either be an iOS bug or buddypress bug, but if it only happens with the BuddyBoss theme then I’ll look into this deeper. Please let me know what you discover.
