Question
March 13, 2016 at 2:34 pm #62821@lhertzlerThe group cover photo looks great and I’d like my users to be able to upload one as well. I noticed that the cover photo file adds support for this however there is no cover photo output on user template. Is there a reason for this? How can I add cover photo for user profiles?

i’ll check to see if i can hack into this code in the next days, my users need that
March 13, 2016 at 4:20 pm #62832@lhertzlerRight on – Yeah, I’m planning on modifying the code as well but won’t be able to get to it for a few weeks, so I thought I’d ask to see why they aren’t outputting this for members.
Check out the file in the parent theme /themes/onesocial/buddyboss-inc/cover-photo.php and you’ll see what I mean. They’ve added the first step for setting up support, but then don’t output this support in the template file.
March 13, 2016 at 4:28 pm #62834@jeanpierre… i know where to look… the problem is not the code but the template design, which will need a tweak to put actual content correctly… 🙂

Please Thank You For Being HereMarch 14, 2016 at 6:37 am #62908@jeanpierre@farouk, you can change the main title of these pages by editing the language file. though you will need to put it in the “custom” location or it will be overwritten on updates.
… and your site is on maintenance mode…
also, i would suggest you to keep your requests on your own topics in the forum, so the support guys can offer a better followup of your own things and answer you properly.

AnonymousCover images are not part of our designs for the profile, that’s why it was included so far. We will keep inside our suggestion list and will try provide some patch to enable it.

Varun DubeyMarch 14, 2016 at 9:46 am #62948@jeanpierre@vapvarun … you exactly hit the spot… that’s why i said i was looking for the codes myself, because i know it will not be added… that’s why i’m a 3rd party guy… 🙂
March 15, 2016 at 3:06 pm #63155@jeanpierreA little gift here…
@vapvarun … you can send this to the guys up there if they can’t figure out how to do it… rofl
… just kidding
@lhertzler … this will reactivate the Profile Cover Photo, for this theme. it’s a PLUGIN, so put activate it, and the links will work again to add a profile picture.this plugin is just a fix, but can not make the picture fit the exact same way as on the groups page, i don’t know why, there is a css trick on the groups page that i didn’t find yet… but as the designers of the theme can help and put that back in the theme, so we can activate it like we do for the group covers…
… please your clients instead of just taking things down “as designed”… this is a 10 lines fix
March 15, 2016 at 5:11 pm #63171@lhertzler@jeanpierre … Awesome job! Really appreciate your quick work… I’ve extended the plugin and added the CSS fixes to fit properly. Updated plugin version to 1.0.1 – Cover photos will now extend full width of screen for member profiles.
Next step is adding the media queries to make this plugin responsive. With the plugin activated it looks good on phones and desktops but need a fix for Ipad sizes… I can tackle this in the next few days.
March 15, 2016 at 5:18 pm #63174@jeanpierrethanks a lot @lhertzler … i didn’t have the time to play with the CSS, so good job!
for the responsive thing, i thought it was included in the theme, as it’s actually acting like in the groups… maybe it’s a bug all around the theme, it’s not supposed to be complicated to fix…
March 15, 2016 at 5:22 pm #63176@lhertzler@jeanpierre .. Whoops.. it was displaying correctly but only for activity user tab. Here’s v 1.0.2 that will display cover photo correctly no matter what tab you are in for member profile..
Yes, most of the responsive features are there and working, but the user template is just slightly different than the group single template so the photo and name title respond differently.. should only take a few lines of code to fix.
March 15, 2016 at 5:49 pm #63178@jeanpierrei was about to tell you about the .activity thing… 🙂
for the template, i was playing with the idea to move everything from the members template to a clone of the groups template, because i love it… moving some thing here and there, making the design more fluid across the site…*(suggestion for designers though)
March 16, 2016 at 3:22 am #63227@valerivaCover image would be great!
March 16, 2016 at 11:25 pm #63488@lhertzler@jeanpierre Yes, I agree about the template suggestion. I really like the group profile photo style and white Group title that overlays the cover photo. It would be cool to also have this for member templates, name and last activity time on white over the covr. I am going to do some mockups..
