Question
November 21, 2015 at 2:07 pm #52409@holidayjoiEver since the upgrade of theme any images taken on a mobile device, despite being taken in portrait, are showing up on laptop/desktop sideways – while on mobile device are showing up properly.
I have attached an example I just tested out to help demonstrate the difference as well as an example of a series of photos uploaded by a member from her phone.
While those who use mobile devices can certainly edit their photos before posting, this is a unnecessary step and contradicts this mobile responsive feature.
Uploads were posting properly 2 days ago.
What has happened?
How can this be fixed?Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Holly, I almost forgot, try this option under settings/BuddyBoss Media
Mobile Rotation Fix Enable fix for mobile uploads rotating.
It’s recommended that you have at least 256M-512M of RAM allocated to PHP, otherwise photo uploads may fail.
Your current memory limit is 256M. You can contact your web host to increase the memory limit.November 22, 2015 at 3:50 am #52429@
AnonymousHi @holidayjoi, Please enable the setting option for
Mobile Rotation Fix Enable fix for mobile uploadsIt should fix the issue.

I do have the Mobile Rotation Fix selected.
Looks like I need to increase memory.November 23, 2015 at 7:39 am #52506@holidayjoiFollow Up….
I have increased my memory after contacting my web host to 512M. I rebooted my site and still the increase in memory has not changed in WordPress. It still shows that my limit is 256M.
See Attached
My images are still rotating and even coming in upside down.
I contacted my web host – Media Temple – and I was told …
——
It’s usually in the wp-config.php file, but it can be placed elsewhere as well. This should be something you can do by checking the WordPress files. Otherwise, you can try placing the 512M limit yourself in the config files.
—–May I please request help on how to do this?
This is outside of my comfort zone and I do not want to mess anything up.
Thank you!

AnonymousHi @george123, Please let me know if you still need help on it
RegardsJanuary 30, 2016 at 12:13 pm #57664@george123This is still an issue for some reason on my site.
Sometimes when IOS users post from their phone, their image is flipped upside down.
On PC browsers, its flipped but when they look at the page on their IOS phones it’s not flipped.
