Question
December 11, 2015 at 12:16 pm #54252@ianclaytonWhy does my system show multiple forums instead of just the one that I create? Perhaps it’s meant to work this way, but it sure doesn’t look right on the forum’s index page!
I’ve attached a screenshot of what I see. I am using the social learner theme with the learn dash plug-in.Answers

AnonymousHi @ianclayton , seems like you have toggled enabled forum option inside the Group multiple times and that created multiple forums for same group
Please check those forums view links, hopefully all should point to same group forum link.Regards
Varun DubeyDecember 14, 2015 at 2:41 pm #54431@ianclaytonI did – to explore how it worked with Learndash – I dont recall hitting create forum multiple time – I do recall many group page updates… anyway – I have decided NOT to use forums for now… just groups… thanks…

Anonymoushi @ianclayton
It gives two options one to use existing one or to create one, if you do not select existing one by default it will create new forums

Varun DubeyJanuary 31, 2016 at 9:39 am #57732@anthonyrI had the same problem and tried what you suggested. I must be doing something wrong, because I kept getting multiple forums after following your directions. At this point, I decided to have no forum for the sake of expediency. Now that there are no associated forums with this group, how can I try to add one and hope it stops cloning itself?
January 31, 2016 at 9:55 am #57737@estevaosoaresI have the same problem.
I created the forum and selected just once.
Every time I visit and save the Groups settings page, it creates a new forum.February 1, 2016 at 1:38 pm #57847@
AnonymousHi @estevaosoares, I have raised it’s priority and it will be fixed and pushed shortly

AnonymousHi @ianclayton @estevaosoares @anthonyr
I have attached beta version of the plugin, It will fix the issue and will not create any duplicate forum again and again. You will need to delete those duplicated forums which have created earlier.
Sorry for inconvenience.
Plugin update will be pushed in next couple of days after proper testing of it.
RegardsFebruary 3, 2016 at 8:08 am #57984@anthonyrThanks so much, Varun. At this moment there is a problem with my server, but as soon as BlueHost clears that up I’ll install it. Hopefully I won’t have to bother you about this again. Thanks again!
February 3, 2016 at 10:33 am #57995@anthonyrHi Varun – I tried to install this, and got a prompt that said it “triggered a fatal error” (jpg attached)
Some background info: Earlier today, I had a problem with my server, and it turned out to be an update to a plugin that I didn’t even know that I had. Here’s the developer page for it: http://donmik.com/en/buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type/
After installing and activating it, I got a white screen, and had to call my host support, who de-activated this plugin, which made my site able to load again.
I then uploaded the Buddypress Learndash beta, and after activating it, the above happened. Any way you can help me out? I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Anthony

AnonymousHi @anthonyr, You will need to deactivate buddypress-learndash first and then upload buddypress-learndash-beta version.
