AlyssaParticipant@jerseypeeps I have confirmed it is not Jetpack or RPX causing your issue. Since Comet Chat is a paid plugin can you try disabling it to see if that could be causing the conflict, please let me know.

AnonymousHi @thchester
Thanks for such a quick response and on a Sunday!! ( uk time here ) Yes CometChat is the problem, is there a work around for this issue? As other chat plugins don’t come close to cometchat for functionality.
Also sorry for posting in the incorrect forum just seen now that there is a buddyboss 3 support forum….
Also any idea when new plugins will be available as I really need a photo album/gallery feature for my website.
Keep up the great work guys :))

AnonymousOK Even with cometchat removed i’m still getting issues, not 100% sure why either. The image message comes up as still uploading but when I go to my media library you can see the images have uploaded ok?

AnonymousOk have just updated my beta website from RC3 Package, where the photo upload feature was working great, to the latest version of the buddyboss theme. Now the same issue as on my live website, still can not post photos to the activity wall or profiles.
Have deactivated all plugins and still no difference, have tried everything i can think off and still no luck.

AlyssaParticipant@jerseypeeps are you using a caching plugin? Make sure to purge the cache everytime you make a change to test if you do. Can you make my user an admin?

Anonymous@tjchester I have now made you an admin, I will be making another support request for issues with Cubepoints and the buddyboss theme. :/
The more I play the more I find 🙁 But will be good to get all issues fixed and running smoothly 😀

AlyssaParticipant@jerseypeeps your jquery.min file is not the same as mine, moreover, your jquery.min file has a syntax error in it. Please place this file in your buddyboss/js/ folder and overwrite the old version: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gkwb2y33w849y1s/jquery.1.10.2.min.js

AnonymousI have uploaded the jquery file posted above and still not able to upload via the activity wall. The photos are uploading and saving but just aren’t showing on the wall?
This has been an issue since upgrading to the latest version of buddyboss.
The process I have used for updating themes is either via FTP or the theme install procedure built into wordpress. Si I don’t understand how the jquery file could differ unless the upload/upgrade failed to replace files?
Am going to try and downgrade to a previous version of wordpress on my beta account see if this makes a difference

AlyssaParticipant@jerseypeeps My final determination is that your plugin/add-in cloudflare is not compatible since it is not using best practices. It is hijacking the post-ajax file and throwing an error since it doesn’t know what to do with the photo. I tried to disable the plugin but it appears there are other connections that does not completely disable the plugin/add-in. If you completely remove CloudFlare then images should upload.
I will add this to our bug list.

AnonymousHi,
Thanks for trying those options, have tried them all already and have exhausted all other options, even tried everything on my beta website with no luck.
So far i have tried down grading wordpress, removing and disabling all plugins, apart from buddypress and your theme and still no luck.
The only other thing i can think of doing is to downgrade the theme itself to an earlier version before this one.
I have tried looking on your website but there is no way to download previous versions or is there?
At least by downgrading the theme that will be one way of finding the issue maybe?
I have also been in contact with my hosting provider ( knownhost ) and they can’t see any errors, they also confirmed they have made no changes to the hosting package i have that would cause this issue.

AnonymousThis issue is now fully resolved, after a few tries i managed to get great support from Knownhost who found the following issue and fixed it.
[17-Sep-2013 20:17:24 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function exif_read_data() in /home/jerseyp3/public_html/beta/wp-content/themes/buddyboss/buddyboss-inc/image-rotation-fixer.php on line 67
[17-Sep-2013 20:24:49 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function exif_read_data() in /home/jerseyp3/public_html/beta/wp-content/themes/buddyboss/buddyboss-inc/image-rotation-fixer.php on line 67They also recompiled PHP with Zend Guard as well as a few standard PHP modules to get everything back to normal, still not 100% sure what caused the errors, but now back to be a happy chappy 😀
Also i would like to point out to any cloudflare users that the rocket function can and does cause issues with some wordpress plugins.

AlyssaParticipant@jerseypeeps thanks for getting back to me on this. This may help out several other user issues.
@michael we may want to compile a list of required PHP modules required to be installed for WP, BP and BB.

Anonymous@tjchester Yeah not a bad idea.
February 27, 2014 at 5:13 pm #24094@marketfiremediaI am having this exact same problem. When I first installed buddyboss, the photo uploads worked great. I can not say for sure that there is not a plugin conflict, but I have not installed any new plugins since installing buddyboss, so I find quite unlikely. They are uploading fine, but I do get an error, and they do not post on the activity wall, so now all it does is bog down my media library. Also, I am not using Cloudflare. Is this something I should be contacting my hosting provider about, or posting in here? I am not exactly sure where to start troubleshooting, and any ideas and/or feedback you can provide would be great. Thanks.
