Question
January 16, 2015 at 6:37 pm #34803@davesharpeI’m trying to figure out how to create a custom page template without the top navigation bar on my site. My site is a membership site, and I’d like to be able to hide all content from non-members (I’m working my way through using Paid Memberships Pro plugin for this). However, I will need to have a Public Home Page in order to accept new members and provide a place for prospective members to sign up. This page will hae buttons for “login” and “sign up”, but should not have the menu bar showing. Is it possible to create a custom page template for this?
Searching through these forums, I found code on another post to remove the header, but this left the menu bar still accessible.
Thanks for your help.Answers

AlyssaParticipant@davesharpe unfortunately the menu is in the header so a custom page template will not work. i see you are using Paid Memberships Pro. I know s2member has a great membership plugin that features menus for different types of users/visitors. Here is a previous post how to have a different menu for logged out users: https://www.buddyboss.com/support-forums/topic/custom-homepage-for-unlogged-in-users/#post-34387
January 19, 2015 at 9:41 pm #34885@davesharpeThanks, that looks great and should do what I need. I’m having some other issues with Paid Memberships Pro so may try S2. Still have a few other things to build on the site first though.

AlyssaParticipant@davesharpe sounds good. I’ll leave this topic open just in case you need to revisit the issue
