Group Avatar

I cannot get the group photo that appears to the left of the BuddyPress group to change (photo with the world and gray background). Is this associated with the group avatar? The group avatar is set automatically and appears in the group activity, but not in the group photo. Any help would be much appreciated.

Update: I just saw this is a static setting… if I change this image, it changes the default:
/wp-content/themes/buddyboss-child/images/avatar-group.jpg

Is there a way this image can pull from the group avatar instead?

Sure, I am attaching a screenshot showing the system generation of the group avatar (circled), but it is not updating the large group photo (photo arrow is pointing to). Any way this can be done dynamically?

Note: just for clarity, the link I sent you via PM shows the default group image changed across the board, but it is not linked to the actual group avatar photo.

@ccarmichael I viewed your site but all your avatars seems fine. Perhaps you are using a caching plugin or the cache in your browser was the cause. I noticed you are using gravatar, it caches avatars and can take time to update so perhaps that was your issue.

@tjchester Here is the full process to help explain the issue:

I create the group. An avatar is auto generated by WP. I can see the small aavatar in the group activity area (please see previous screenshot for an example), but it does not update the 150×150 image to the top left.

I have waited for days for the 150×150 image to update, but it unfortunately does not happen. I have manually refreshed caching and that does not update the group 150×150 image either.

I am using WP’s built in “Wavatar (Generated)” avatar creation option.

There are no issues with avatars showing up for the member page index, or their own individual profiles… just with the group index avatars and individual group avatars displaying on the theme.

@ccarmichael I understand your issue but I don’t have the same issue when navigating to your website. Can you PM me an image of your groups page with all groups listed?
