Photo commenting / lightbox functionality

Hi,

I’m using Boss theme with the wall and media plugins.

At the moment, when you click on an image, it displays full screen with options at the bottom for commenting, like etc. When you click the comment button, it redirects you to where the comments are/you can comment which feels wrong and would be confusing if no comments existed.

Ideally, I’d like people to be able to comment on photos individually (it seems that in the activity feed, the comment applies to the whole post, and not individual images), like this: http://www.socialgalleryplugin.com/

However, I don’t want the comments to be from Facebook – they would be integrated with the site (BuddyPress).

Is this an option?

@keen we are working to have the comments display more like Facebook, but not Facebook’s comments 😉
So it’s not an option now but we are working on it.

That’s great – I can see a few other people are requesting similar functionality.

Any idea when this feature will be rolled out?

@keen it is probably going to be after the summer. There are many bug and features fixes in front of this, but we have begun the integration. We ran into some issues and will circle back to finish it off.
