Question
January 18, 2016 at 9:14 pm #56603@postlaude1Hello,
I just updated from Boss 1.1.8 to 2.0.7, and am having a few problems. I worked through most of them, but a big one is that the group and profile header pages are not displaying correctly. See the picture attached. I have tried deleting and installing a blank child theme, but it still displays the same thing. Any idea what could be causing this?

January 19, 2016 at 6:58 am #56628@postlaude1Using DevTools, I found out that that two elements are overlapping:
and
. Any idea why that might be happening? I tried adjust all of the CSS properties for both elements and nothing helped. There is one display: block that I can’t adjust, because it says that it is set by the user agent stylesheet, but I don’t know if that is relevant.

AnonymousHi @postlaude1, Please check all the theme options once again and save them..clear the cache and deactivate plugins once and reactivate them to refresh the settings.

January 19, 2016 at 8:57 am #56650@postlaude1Hello,
I followed these steps, but unfortunately it did not change anything. You did mean emptying the browser cache, right? I’m not using any caching plugins. Any other ideas?

January 19, 2016 at 11:35 am #56656@postlaude1Hi, I was able to fix the problem by adding the following line to my custom.css file:
#buddypress #item-header-cover {
position: relative;
}I’m not sure why this was needed, though. If I encounter any other problems, I’ll open a ticket. You can probably close this one unless you think it needs further investigation.
January 19, 2016 at 9:38 pm #56693@postlaude1Hello, I’m still having a problem with my groups page and it seems related. A screenshot is attached. The only reason that the header and body are not overlapping is because of the line added to the custom.css.
I have tried deactivating and reactivating all plugins, and emptied my cache. I even created a new database and installed wordpress (though using the same theme files).
I notice that there is no sidebar in this group. Could that be a hint as to what the problem is?
