Question
March 14, 2015 at 9:52 am #37305@style960I’m unable to set the body text colour for specific pages using either page builder options, or custom css. Other styling from custom css for the same widget class works fine. Body text will not set even when using !important. How can I set this without changing globally in Customizer?
Thanks,

AlyssaParticipant@style960 this is a weird CSS rule that child element setting are overriden by lower hierarchical elements. Try simply using
body p, body div
etc.March 14, 2015 at 4:53 pm #37344@style960@tjchester I still can’t override it. I do think this needs looking at – we should be able to set different body colours with our own css, especially if taking full advantage of a tool like Page Builder.

AlyssaParticipant@style960 I’ll send a request to the devs to create an option to change main text color sitewide. This should also make it easier to change page per page basis.
March 16, 2015 at 5:56 pm #37435@style960@tjchester If I understand correctly, this options already exists. But it can’t be overwritten with custom css – you can set every other type of styling to the text, but not change it’s colour. Which is obviously something a lot of people will want to do if using individually styled text areas.

AlyssaParticipant@style960 this does not already exist. It would be a new set of theme options.
March 18, 2015 at 3:09 am #37506@style960@tjchester Sorry my mistake. I thought when you suggested ‘change main text color sitewide’ this could already been done in Customize > Body Content > Body Text.
