Question
March 30, 2016 at 9:43 am #66090@wmacmillHaving an issue with WP Engine specifically and their mu-plugin and the themed login. When you enter the incorrect password the submit button just spins and spins and never tells you you have entered the incorrect password.

AnonymousHi @wmacmill
Please let me know which plugin your are using for themed login

Varun DubeyMarch 31, 2016 at 6:36 am #66237@wmacmillSorry just to clarify not a themed login plugin – it’s the One Social theme. Just Buddyboss -> Register/Login -> Register/Login Overlays. If that’s on and you enter the incorrect password (and you’re hosted on WP Engine) the error will never show and the login will just spin and spin. Hope that clears it up.
Just to make it clear – only happens on WP Engine and it’s caused by their MU plugin that they install. So anyone using WP Engine needs to turn this off.

AnonymousHi @wmacmill, If you need to turn that off
You just simply have to remove that plugin file via sftp from mu-plugins folderRegards
Varun DubeyMarch 31, 2016 at 6:46 am #66243@wmacmillYou can’t remove them. They’re required for WP Engine to work properly. It’s part of the managed hosting. Just saying anyone who is hosting on WP Engine will not be able to use this part of the theme functionality.

AnonymousHi @wmacmill
Lots of customers have reported issues with WP Engine in the past, specifically with BuddyPress, WordPress tends to be OK with them.
We do not recommend WPEngine for BuddyPress , it have lots of restrictions and which create unwanted issues in posting , activity refresh.
