Members – First Name, Last Name

Hi there,

I would like to have my members to be displayed on a First Name and Last Name basis. For some of us who is using buddypress and Boss theme on a professional level, it’s very important to keep that image. Having random names/usernames/nicknames makes it look less professional or not at all.

I saw this post:

But I couldn’t get the right field names to get it to work.
Any suggestions?

Hi @rotju, to make the required changes copy member-header.php to child theme in SAME folder structure.
Then change the function to:

get_displayed_user_fullname()

Does it change the user display name in all places (profile, forum etc.)? I would also like to have that change (my users should be displayed by their full name).

Since BOSS theme is a pro theme it would be nice to have it as an option in theme settings (I’m using Social Learner).

Hi @bcim, For forum you will have to copy bbpress folder in your child theme to customize.
