Problems after updating theme

We are having a problem with pages not showing up after updating plug-ins (Marketplace) and the One Social theme.
Just to confirm we have made no changed to the One Social theme and all changes have been made to the child theme. I assume when the template update is done then that automatically updates the child theme?

Theme updation only happens to parent theme , that is why it is recommended to make changes in child theme .A child theme inherits the parent’s theme functionality and design. Which pages are not showing on your site please tell .
