Question
December 17, 2015 at 1:59 am #54600@randall-leagueI just updated wordpress to 4.4 and now all of my LearnDash pages are coming up Server Error 500. I deactivated Social Learner theme and everything shows up OK. I downloaded the Social Learner, Boss , Boss-LearnDash and BuddyPress-Learndash themes and reuploaded them but no change.
Any ideas?

December 18, 2015 at 6:56 pm #54713@apextraining@vapvarun @pallavi is there a known issue causing this? My site visitors have been complaining about performance and we had a 500 internal server error for about 2 minutes yesterday.

January 3, 2016 at 12:17 am #55403@randall-leagueOK. So after the last disaster I had to recover my website. Now I’m back to page 1. Normal pages show but any lessons or courses come up server error 500. I think I’ve narrowed it down to W3 Total Cache. When I deactivate the plugin the courses/lessons show fine. I made sure that the Boss theme’s minify options were off. I still need help with this.

AnonymousHi @randall-league, you can keep Boss theme minify option on and turn off W3 total cache minify
I have enabled those setting inside your site , and also added _wc_session_ to bypass it from cache
RegardsJanuary 3, 2016 at 4:17 am #55409@randall-leagueThank you for the help but I’m still getting the errors on the LearnDash pages. Are you not seeing them on your end?
January 3, 2016 at 4:25 am #55410@randall-leagueWell, I should have checked before but it seems that when I am logged in I get a server error 500 but when I’m logged out I can access the page but even then the page seems odd. Like CSS styling is off.
Hold on a second, I think I’m getting closer to the problem. I’m guessing somewhere my w3 cache plugin, the theme and maybe my https plugin isn’t playing together.
January 3, 2016 at 7:41 am #55415@randall-leagueSlowly working it out. It’s not the plugins, as far as I can tell. It might be some corrupted files in LearnDash.Dunno. But I’ve found some coureses/lessons/topics work fine and others don’t.
January 3, 2016 at 10:26 pm #55458@randall-leagueAny course that has more than 4 assigned lessons to it is basically broken. You can see the course page but if you click on the lessons you get the server error 500. If I dis-associate a few lessons to where that the course has 4 lessons, then like magic everything works. This behavior is with newly created courses or older courses. If I deactivate the Social Learner theme everything is fine. So somewhere the theme is at fault.
January 3, 2016 at 11:38 pm #55461@randall-leagueI’m not a programmer but I think its some kind of memory issue with the theme. I deactivated all of my plugins and everything was ok. Then start reactivating them one by one. Regardless of which plugin is activated , at some point the error 500 start showing up. It doesn’t matter which plugins are activated if too many are activated eventually I get a error 500 at some point. It might be the course page, the lesson page, or the topic page but somewhere the 500 pops up.
here is the error log

AnonymousHi @randall-league, I have added memory limit at your wp-config.php
and check multiple topic pages again , You server memory limit is 256MB

Varun DubeyJanuary 4, 2016 at 10:38 pm #55536@randall-leagueSeems to be working now but another strange thing happened.
On Jan 3 , 10:41 somehow the same forum was created around 200 times. I have 17 pages of the same forum all created on the same date and the same time. I hope it doesn’t happen again.
