This Affiliate Program Agreement is entered into between BuddyBoss LLC and the individual or legal entity applying for or participating in the BuddyBoss Affiliate Program.
By registering for, accessing, or participating in the BuddyBoss Affiliate Program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, you must not activate or participate in the affiliate program.
Purpose and Scope of the Affiliate Program
The BuddyBoss Affiliate Program allows approved affiliates to promote BuddyBoss products by placing approved referral links or promotional materials on their owned or controlled platforms. When a customer completes a qualifying purchase through a valid referral link, the affiliate may earn a commission, subject to full compliance with this Agreement.
Participation in the affiliate program is a privilege, not a right. Continued participation requires ongoing compliance with these Terms, applicable laws, and BuddyBoss policies.
BuddyBoss reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any affiliate account at any time.
Promotional Materials
BuddyBoss provides affiliates with approved banners, button links, text links, graphics, messaging, and other promotional assets.
You must use Promotional Materials only:
- To promote BuddyBoss products and services
- In a truthful, accurate, and non-misleading manner
- In compliance with this Agreement
BuddyBoss may update, replace, or discontinue any Promotional Materials at any time without notice.
Use of Promotional Materials
When using BuddyBoss Promotional Materials, you agree to the following:
- You must use only Promotional Materials provided or explicitly approved by BuddyBoss
- You must not alter, edit, resize, add to, subtract from, or otherwise modify Promotional Materials without prior written approval
- Promotional Materials must link only to BuddyBoss-approved URLs
- You must not use Promotional Materials in any way that misrepresents BuddyBoss, its products, pricing, availability, or offers
If you want to create custom promotional content, designs, or messaging that is not part of the provided Promotional Materials, you must obtain written approval from BuddyBoss before publishing or distributing it.
Approved Ways to Promote BuddyBoss
To maintain a high-quality, trustworthy affiliate ecosystem, you are allowed to promote BuddyBoss only through value-driven and transparent promotional methods.
Approved promotion methods include:
- Original blog posts, tutorials, comparisons, reviews, case studies, or educational articles
- Original video content such as YouTube videos, walkthroughs, demos, or reviews
- Organic social media posts that clearly disclose the affiliate relationship
- Email newsletters sent only to subscribers who have explicitly opted in to receive such communications
These methods are considered pre-approved as long as:
- The content is original and adds genuine value
- The promotion is accurate and not misleading
- Proper affiliate disclosures are used where required by law
If you want to promote BuddyBoss using any method not listed above, you must receive explicit written approval from BuddyBoss before doing so.
Using unapproved promotion methods is treated as a violation of this Agreement.
Prohibited Promotion Methods
To protect the BuddyBoss brand, customers, and legitimate affiliates, the following promotion methods are strictly prohibited unless BuddyBoss provides explicit written approval.
1. Coupon, Deal & Directory Abuse
You are not allowed to:
- Operate coupon-only, deal-only, voucher, or discount directory websites
- Promote BuddyBoss coupons unless you have been explicitly assigned and approved for a branded coupon
- Use misleading text implying that coupons, discounts, or deals are available when they are not
- Use “click to reveal coupon,” “unlock deal,” or similar tactics when no valid coupon exists
Affiliates operating coupon or deal sites without approval are not eligible for commissions.
2. Paid Advertising, PPC & Arbitrage
You are not allowed to:
- Run paid search (PPC) campaigns on Google, Bing, or any other search platform
- Bid on BuddyBoss brand keywords, product names, or variations (including “BuddyBoss coupon” or “BuddyBoss discount”)
- Run paid social ads, display ads, native ads, retargeting campaigns, or traffic arbitrage campaigns without written approval
Any paid advertising activity without approval is considered a material breach of this Agreement.
3. Cookie Manipulation & Low-Intent Traffic
You are not allowed to:
- Use pop-ups, pop-unders, iframes, forced redirects, or automatic redirects
- Set affiliate cookies without a clear and intentional user click
- Engage in cookie stuffing, attribution hijacking, or similar tracking manipulation
- Drive traffic designed primarily to capture attribution rather than educate or inform users
BuddyBoss evaluates traffic quality, intent, and legitimacy. Traffic that appears misleading, artificial, or low intent is not eligible for commissions.
4. Brand & Identity Misuse
You are not allowed to:
- Register domains containing “BuddyBoss” or confusingly similar variations
- Imply official partnership, endorsement, or representation without written permission
- Use BuddyBoss trademarks, logos, or branding outside approved Promotional Materials
5. Unacceptable Outreach & Conduct
You are not allowed to:
- Send unsolicited bulk emails (spam) referencing BuddyBoss
- Use misleading claims, false pricing, or inaccurate product descriptions
- Engage in any activity that could reasonably harm the BuddyBoss brand, reputation, or customers
BuddyBoss determines, at its sole discretion, whether any activity violates this section.
Commissions
You earn a commission only when all conditions in this Agreement are met and a qualifying purchase is completed through your valid affiliate referral link.
Commission details:
- Your commission percentage is displayed in your Affiliate Dashboard
- Commission rates may vary by product
- Commission rates may change at any time at BuddyBoss’s discretion
Commissions apply only to net revenue actually received by BuddyBoss. This means:
- Refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, and failed payments are excluded
- Discounts applied at checkout reduce the commissionable amount accordingly
- Purchases made by you directly are not eligible for commission
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the Affiliate Dashboard, commissions are one-time only and do not apply to recurring subscription renewals.
BuddyBoss determines commission eligibility in its sole discretion. All determinations are final.
Tracking, Cookies & Attribution
BuddyBoss tracks affiliate referrals using cookies and additional validation methods, including IP address and device signals.
Attribution Rules
- The affiliate whose referral link is clicked last before a qualifying purchase receives credit
- If tracking cannot be completed due to cookie blocking, browser restrictions, or user behavior, BuddyBoss is not obligated to issue a commission
Affiliate tracking exists to reward legitimate referrals, not artificial or manipulated attribution.
Mandatory Hold Period
BuddyBoss provides:
- A 60-day tracking cookie for BuddyBoss Web products
- A 90-day tracking cookie for BuddyBoss App products
This cookie duration also functions as a mandatory on-hold period for commission payouts.
This means:
- A commission is recorded at the time of sale
- The commission remains on hold for the full cookie duration
- The commission becomes eligible for payment only after the hold period fully expires
The hold period allows BuddyBoss to account for:
- Refunds and chargebacks
- Extended refund windows
- Fraud detection and traffic validation
No commission becomes payable before the hold period ends.
Payment Eligibility Requirements
A commission becomes eligible for payout only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The mandatory hold period has fully elapsed
- Your affiliate account balance is $200 USD or more
- You have generated at least two successful referred sales
- Your affiliate account is active and fully compliant with this Agreement
- Your PayPal account details are complete and valid
If any condition is not met, commissions remain on hold until eligibility is satisfied.
Affiliates may request a payout once all eligibility requirements are met. Payout requests are processed during the regular monthly payout cycle in the first week of each month. BuddyBoss usually does not issue off-cycle or manual payouts.
Payment Schedule
BuddyBoss processes affiliate payments once per month, during the first week of the month.
Payments include:
- Only commissions that became eligible in the previous cycle
- Only affiliates who meet all payout requirements at the time of processing
BuddyBoss does not issue:
- Partial payments
- Early payments
- Off-cycle or manual payouts
If you miss a payout cycle due to eligibility timing (for example, reaching the $200 threshold after the payout run), your commissions roll over to the next payment cycle automatically.
For clarity, commissions are generally paid within sixty (60) to ninety (90) days of the referred sale, depending on the product and applicable hold period. This timeframe includes the mandatory hold period and the monthly payout batching process.
BuddyBoss App Exception
Commissions earned from BuddyBoss App purchases remain on hold until the product is delivered to the customer. After delivery, eligible commissions are paid within sixty (60) to ninety (90) days. This exception exists to account for the extended refund window provided during these sales.
Payment Method & Fees
All affiliate payments:
- Are made in USD
- Are sent via PayPal using the email address on file
- Include all applicable taxes; you are responsible for your own tax obligations
- Are subject to PayPal transaction fees, which you must cover
BuddyBoss is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect PayPal information or PayPal account restrictions.
Withholding, Rejection & Forfeiture of Commissions
BuddyBoss actively reviews affiliate activity to ensure fairness, quality, and compliance.
BuddyBoss withholds, rejects, reverses, or forfeits commissions when we determine that:
- Traffic sources are misleading, artificial, low-intent, or manipulated
- Prohibited promotion methods were used
- Affiliate information is incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading
- The affiliate breached any part of this Agreement
- Affiliate activity harms the BuddyBoss brand, customers, or other affiliates
If BuddyBoss terminates your affiliate account due to a material breach, all unpaid commissions are forfeited.
All decisions regarding commission eligibility and payout are final.
Audit & Verification Rights
BuddyBoss may audit your affiliate account at any time.
You must provide, upon request:
- Websites, blogs, or landing pages used for promotion
- YouTube channels, social profiles, or email sources
- Details about traffic sources and promotion methods
Failure to cooperate with an audit is treated as non-compliance and may result in withheld commissions or account termination.
BuddyBoss maintains accurate and up-to-date records used to calculate commissions. Affiliates may request reasonable access to these records. If a confirmed discrepancy is identified, BuddyBoss will correct it within fourteen (14) days of confirmation.
Coupon, Deal & Discount Promotion Policy
BuddyBoss controls when and how discounts or coupons are offered. Affiliates must not create, imply, or promote discounts unless explicitly authorized.
Coupon & Deal Restrictions
You are not allowed to:
- Operate or participate as a coupon-only, deal-only, voucher, or discount directory affiliate
- Promote BuddyBoss coupons, promo codes, or discounts unless you are explicitly approved and assigned a branded coupon by BuddyBoss
- Use misleading language suggesting savings, deals, or discounts when none are active
- Use “click to reveal coupon,” “unlock deal,” or similar tactics if no valid affiliate coupon exists
Affiliates who violate this section are not eligible for commissions, even if sales are technically tracked.
BuddyBoss may remove coupon-based affiliates from the program at any time without prior notice.
License
BuddyBoss grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use approved Promotional Materials solely for participation in the affiliate program.
This license ends immediately if your affiliate account is suspended or terminated.
Intellectual Property
All Promotional Materials, trademarks, logos, brand assets, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of BuddyBoss.
This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights in BuddyBoss intellectual property. You must not claim ownership or register any intellectual property that is confusingly similar to BuddyBoss assets.
Relationship of the Parties
You participate in the affiliate program as an independent contractor.
Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and BuddyBoss. You do not have authority to bind BuddyBoss to any agreement.
Paid Advertising, PPC & Brand Bidding Policy
Paid advertising is tightly controlled to protect the BuddyBoss brand, pricing integrity, and legitimate affiliate partners.
You are not allowed to:
- Run paid search (PPC) campaigns on Google, Bing, or other search engines
- Bid on BuddyBoss brand keywords, product names, or close variations
- Bid on search terms implying discounts, coupons, or promotions (e.g., “BuddyBoss coupon”)
- Run paid social ads, display ads, native ads, retargeting campaigns, or arbitrage traffic campaigns without written approval
Any paid advertising activity without written approval is treated as a material breach of this Agreement.
BuddyBoss may immediately suspend accounts and withhold commissions for violations of this section.
Fraud, Manipulation & Artificial Traffic
Affiliate commissions exist to reward genuine referrals, not artificial attribution.
You are not allowed to:
- Artificially inflate referral activity
- Use bots, scripts, automation, or incentivized clicks
- Engage in cookie stuffing or attribution hijacking
- Mask traffic sources or misrepresent referral origins
- Generate traffic designed primarily to trigger affiliate tracking without meaningful user intent
If BuddyBoss identifies fraudulent, artificial, or manipulated activity:
- All related commissions are void
- The affiliate account may be suspended or terminated immediately
- Previously unpaid commissions may be forfeited
Traffic Quality & Intent Evaluation
BuddyBoss evaluates affiliate traffic based on quality, intent, and legitimacy.
Traffic may be deemed ineligible for commissions if it is:
- Misleading or deceptive
- Low intent or non-informational
- Generated primarily to capture attribution rather than educate users
- Disproportionately high-volume with unusually low engagement or conversion quality
BuddyBoss does not guarantee commission eligibility based solely on tracking data. Traffic quality is a determining factor.
Brand Protection & Domain Restrictions
You must protect the BuddyBoss brand at all times.
You are not allowed to:
- Register, purchase, or control domains containing “BuddyBoss” or confusingly similar variations
- Use BuddyBoss branding in domain names, social handles, or ads
- Impersonate BuddyBoss or present yourself as an official representative
Any misuse of BuddyBoss branding is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
Escalation, Enforcement & Repeat Violations
BuddyBoss enforces this Agreement consistently.
Depending on severity, enforcement actions may include:
- Commission withholding
- Commission rejection or reversal
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
Repeat or severe violations may result in immediate termination without warning.
BuddyBoss is not required to provide prior notice before taking enforcement action.
Confidentiality
During your participation in the affiliate program, you may receive non-public information about BuddyBoss, including but not limited to product plans, pricing, internal processes, or performance data (“Confidential Information”).
You must:
- Keep all Confidential Information strictly confidential
- Use Confidential Information only for affiliate-related purposes
- Not disclose Confidential Information to any third party without written permission
This obligation survives termination of your affiliate account.
This obligation does not apply where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or court order.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuddyBoss, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of this Agreement
- Your promotional activities or content
- Your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
- Misuse of BuddyBoss branding or Promotional Materials
Limitation of Liability
BuddyBoss is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your participation in the affiliate program.
BuddyBoss’s total liability under this Agreement does not exceed the total commissions paid to you in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Term & Termination
This Agreement becomes effective when you are approved for the affiliate program and remains in effect until terminated.
Termination rules:
- You or BuddyBoss may terminate participation at any time, with or without cause
- BuddyBoss may immediately suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, or material violations
- Termination immediately revokes your license to use Promotional Materials
If termination occurs due to a material breach, all unpaid commissions are forfeited.
Taxes
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes related to commissions you receive. BuddyBoss does not withhold any taxes from affiliate commission payments.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain fully effective.
No Waiver
Failure by BuddyBoss to enforce any provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Modifications
BuddyBoss may update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued participation in the affiliate program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the entire agreement between you and BuddyBoss regarding the affiliate program and supersedes all prior agreements, discussions, or understandings. This Agreement may be executed in counterparts, each of which is deemed an original and all of which together constitute one agreement.
