New Feature
Blog Post Layout Redesign for the BuddyBoss App
Excited to introduce our latest feature: the Blog Post Layout Redesign in the BuddyBoss App. This redesign is particularly geared towards creators and educators who publish blog posts on their BuddyBoss App. The key part that we revisualized are:
- A redesign of the header section of the blog screen; we’ve now separated the Featured Image from the blog title and author details
- We’ve added a new share button, which opens the in-built phone sharing function. This allows you to share content to other apps and contacts directly
- Improved reading retention with recommendations for other blog posts with the same category.
This array of features, combined with Bookmarking and Comments not only enriches the user interface but also fosters a deeper level of engagement between content creators and their audience.Once you update the app plugin, these enhancements can be configured from BuddyBoss App > Settings > Blog Posts. You will also need to create a new build and submit it to the App stores for your users to see the new features.
Bug Fixes
BuddyBoss Platform
Apart from the major feature release, we’ve also focused on addressing some critical issues to enhance functionality and user experience.
Optimized Document Tab Loading: Recognizing the importance of speed and efficiency, we have significantly enhanced the loading time of the document tab. This improvement is especially noticeable for users who are members of numerous groups and have the Forum Discussions component enabled. The fix dramatically reduces load times, providing smoother and quicker access to essential documents.
Up-to-date WooCommerce Templates: In keeping with our commitment to seamless integration, we have updated our WooCommerce templates to align with the latest version, 8.1.1. This update eliminates the warning message of outdated templates.
BuddyBoss App
The BuddyBoss App has also received significant attention in this update, with crucial bug fixes aimed at improving the user experience on mobile devices.
Refined Comment Editing: We’ve addressed and resolved a critical issue that previously prevented users from saving edited comments within the app. This fix ensures that any changes made to comments are effectively captured and saved, enhancing the interactive aspect of community discussions.
Full Visibility for Long Push Notifications: We’ve tackled the problem where long text-based push notifications were not fully viewable. This fix ensures that all notifications, regardless of length, are now completely displayed, improving the communication and notification experience within the app.
Accurate Blog Post Embedding: We have corrected a display issue with embedded blog posts. Previously, embedded blogs did not show the correct content in the live published blog. With this fix, embedded posts now accurately reflect the intended content, ensuring a consistent and reliable reading experience.
Functional Rate App & Smart Banner Links: In an effort to streamline user interaction, we’ve improved the backend settings related to the ‘Rate this App’ and Smart Banner links. These links now correctly guide users to the intended pages, enhancing the overall user experience and engagement with the app.
