How to Change the Text Color in Blockquotes

Introduction

BuddyBoss does not provide a built-in option to change the text color used in blockquotes. You can easily customize the appearance of blockquote text across your site by adding a small CSS snippet through Theme Options. This guide shows you how to update the Blockquote Text Color site-wide without affecting other content.

Custom Workaround

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > Theme Options.
  2. Under Custom Codes, toggle Enable CSS to On.
  3. Paste the following CSS:
blockquote,
q {
  color: #f03030 !important;
}
  1. Click Save Changes.

Note: Any custom code is considered “custom work.” Please review our Support Policy for more details.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: The blockquote text color didn’t change, what should I check?

A:

  • Clear your site cache, caching plugin, or CDN cache.
  • Ensure the CSS was pasted correctly with no missing brackets or semicolons.
  • Confirm that Enable CSS was turned on before saving.

Q: Can I use a different color?

A: Yes. Replace #f03030 with any valid CSS color value, such as:

color: #333333 !important;

Q: Will this affect all blockquotes on my site?

A: Yes. This rule applies to all <blockquote> and <q> elements across your site.

Q: Who can I contact for further assistance?

A: Submit a support ticket through your BuddyBoss account dashboard for personalized help.
