Hide Specific Activity Tabs

Introduction

BuddyBoss does not provide a built-in option to hide specific activity tabs while keeping others visible. You can use a simple CSS snippet to control which tabs appear in the activity feed. This guide shows you how to hide selected tabs for a cleaner layout while managing Activity Tabs in BuddyBoss more effectively.

Custom Workaround

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > Theme Options
  2. Under Custom Codes, toggle Enable CSS to On
  3. Paste the following CSS:
div.actvity-head-bar li#activity-mentions,

li#activity-following,

li#activity-favorites {

  display: none;

}
  1. Click Save Changes

Any custom code is considered “custom work.” Please review our Support Policy for more details.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: The tabs are still visible, what should I check?

A: Clear your site cache, caching plugin, or CDN cache. Ensure the CSS was pasted exactly as shown and that Enable CSS was turned on before saving

Q: Can I hide different tabs?

A: Yes. Identify the tab’s CSS ID and replace it in the CSS snippet

Q: Will this affect desktop and mobile views?

A: No. This CSS specifically targets the activity tab elements in both views

Q: Who can I contact for further assistance?

A: Submit a support ticket through your BuddyBoss account dashboard for personalized help.
