Disable the Strength Meter in the Sign Up and Registration Page

Introduction

BuddyBoss does not provide a built-in option to disable the password strength meter on the Sign Up and Registration page. You can use a simple CSS snippet to hide it and provide a cleaner registration experience. The focus keyword for this guide is Disable Strength Meter.

Custom Workaround

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > Theme Options
  2. Under Custom Codes, toggle Enable CSS to On
  3. Paste the following CSS:
#pass-strength-result.show {

  display: none;

}
  1. Click Save Changes

Any custom code is considered “custom work.” Please review our Support Policy for more details.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: The strength meter is still visible, what should I check?

A: Ensure the CSS was pasted exactly as shown and that Enable CSS is turned on. Clear any site cache, caching plugin, or CDN cache if necessary

Q: Will this affect password validation?

A: No. This only hides the visual strength meter. Users can still set passwords, and any backend validations remain active

Q: Can I target only specific registration forms?

A: Yes. You can add additional form-specific CSS selectors to apply the rule only to certain pages

Q: Who can I contact for further assistance?

A: Submit a support ticket through your BuddyBoss account dashboard for personalized help
