Display More Sub-Forums in Forum Directory Grid

Introduction

BuddyBoss does not provide a built-in option to display more sub-forums in the Forum Directory grid. You can use a CSS snippet to show additional sub-forums, making it easier for users to see all available sub-forums at a glance.

Custom Workaround

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > Theme Options
  2. Under Custom Codes, toggle Enable CSS to On
  3. Paste the following CSS:
.forums-meta span:nth-child(n+3) {

    display: inline-block;

}
  1. Click Save Changes

Any custom code is considered “custom work.” Please review our Support Policy for more details.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: Additional sub-forums are not appearing, what should I check?

A: Clear your site cache, caching plugin, or CDN cache. Ensure the CSS was pasted exactly as shown and that Enable CSS was turned on before saving

Q: Can I display even more sub-forums?

A: Yes. You can adjust the nth-child value in the CSS to show more or fewer sub-forums

Q: Will this affect other forum pages?

A: No. This CSS specifically targets the Forum Directory grid sub-forum elements

Q: Who can I contact for further assistance?

A: Submit a support ticket through your BuddyBoss account dashboard for personalized help
