Introduction

By default, BuddyBoss sends a “Notice of Email Change” email when a user updates their email address. There’s no built-in setting to disable this. You can prevent this email by adding a small custom code snippet to your active theme. This explains how to stop users from receiving the “Notice of Email Change” email.

Custom Workaround

Before proceeding, make sure you have a complete site backup.

1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to Appearance > Theme File Editor.
2. Under Select theme to edit, choose your active theme (preferably BuddyBoss Child Theme), then click Select.
3. From the Theme Files list, click Theme Functions (functions.php).
4. Paste the following code just before the closing PHP tag (?>):

add_filter('send_email_change_email', '__return_false');

5. Click Update File to save your changes.
