Plugins

On May 17 2018, Automattic (The company behind WordPress) released a new version of WordPress, to help site owners comply with the GDPR that takes effect on May 24 2018.  

As part of the release, a couple features were added in relation to “Right to Erasure” and “Right to data portability”, allowing site admins to export a ZIP file containing a user’s personal data and erase a user’s personal data.

We have now pushed new updates to all our plugins to allow plugins to integrate with these features, as suggested by Automattic, in the following guides for plugin authors.

We have also released a free plugin that integrates BuddyPress with these new WordPress features, allowing a user to request and receive an export of their BuddyPress data, and for an admin to erase a specific user’s BuddyPress data. Download Plugin

Data Minimalism

When purchasing a product on BuddyBoss.com, you are only asked for your name, email address and basic billing address information, so we can process your payment. We do not require any additional information for you to have the ability to purchase our products.

Your Control your content

BuddyBoss does not have any access or control over the content of your website, including any content created using our plugins and themes. You control all of the content that you produce on your WordPress site.

Data Integrity

As our customer your email address is only used to contact you about BuddyBoss product updates and promotions. At any moment, you can unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email received.
