Ok, thank you @jeanpierre!
To the users of this forum, sorry, i don’t speak english very well. So i speak little in french with @jeanpierre to understand better!
@jeanpierre, can you please provide your solution here?
the script is just updated today, and a lot of problems were fixed in it, so i’ll have to look at the new sentences to translate them properly…
@jeanpierre I am using a different language, but have the same issues with “you posted an update” as in the french translation.
I wish there was a way to go back to the way buddypress handles it – just @usename posted an update- nothing fancy.
@michael, @tjchester
this is exactly as @yann said
Without buddyboss wall, we have “member’s name posted an update”
With buddywall, we have “you posted an update” or “member’s name posted an update”, so always “posted an update”But in french, and maybe in other language, we need “you avez publié une note” and “member’s name a publié une note”
please provide a permanent fix for this- a way to go back to the buddypress way of doing it- so we can put it into functions.php and forget about it!
I can’t be dealing with this every buddyboss wall plugin update!
you can suggest it to the staff here… support threads is for bugs… do it independantly
Thanks for your suggestion @jeanpierre, but my issue is directly related to this one, and I have written it in my own thread already months ago. This issue drags on for six months at least. And this is a major bug.
I have posted a high priority update to be able to revert back to “[member’s name] posted this” this should be in the next release of the plugin due out soon.
@yann @tjchester @milena @jeanpierre
The next release has an admin option to switch between using “You” or just displaying the Username, which should provide a solution for this issue.
good, now i need that … 🙂
@michael, this works! thank you 🙂
Great, I’ll close this out!
