The Posts Visibility settings control which types of activity automatically appear in the Activity Feed – from BuddyBoss platform actions like profile updates and group joins, to WordPress blog posts and custom post types. This manual walks you through each setting area.
Accessing Posts Visibility Settings
To access these settings, navigate to your WordPress Dashboard, go to BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity Feed, then click Posts Visibility from the left menu.

BuddyBoss Platform Activity
The BuddyBoss Platform section lets you choose which member and group actions automatically generate a post in the Activity Feed. Disable any that are not relevant to your community to reduce noise:
- Member changes their profile photo
- Member updates their profile details
- Member registers to the site
- Two members become connected
- Member creates a group
- Member joins a group
- Group details are updated
WordPress Activity
The WordPress section controls whether WordPress blog content appears in the Activity Feed:
- Show WordPress Posts: Displays blog posts published by members in the Activity Feed.
- Enable WordPress Post comments in the activity feed: Allows members to view and comment on blog posts directly from the Activity Feed.
Custom Post Types
The Custom Post Types section lets you choose which custom post types generate Activity Feed posts when members publish them. Enable only the types relevant to your community to keep the feed focused. Available post types include:
- Courses
- Lessons
- Topics
- Quizzes
- Challenge Exams
- Certificates
- Groups
- Orders
- Submitted Essays
- Assignments
