Configure Profile Headers in BuddyBoss

The Profile Headers settings control how member profile headers appear across your community. You can choose the layout style and decide which details are displayed – such as online status, followers, and social links. This manual walks you through each option.
Accessing Profile Header Settings
To access these settings, navigate to your WordPress Dashboard, go to BuddyBoss > Settings > Member Profiles, then click Profile Headers from the left menu.
Header Style
The Header Style section lets you choose how profile information is positioned in the header. Two layout options are available:
- Left: Displays profile information aligned to the left side of the header.
- Centered: Displays profile information centered within the header.
Note: Profile cover images will only display in the header if they are enabled in the Profile Image settings.
Profile Header Elements
The Elements section lets you choose which pieces of member information are displayed in the profile header. Toggle each item on or off based on what you want your community to see:
- Online Status: Shows whether the member is currently active on the site.
- Profile Type: Displays the member’s assigned profile type.
- Member Handle: Shows the member’s username or handle.
- Joined Date: Displays when the member joined the site.
- Last Active: Shows the member’s most recent activity on the site.
- Followers: Displays the member’s follower count.
- Following: Displays the number of members this user is following.
- Social Networks: Shows links to the member’s connected social media profiles.
