How to Generate and Connect Your Apple Developer API Key

The Apple Developer API Key allows BuddyBoss to communicate securely with App Store Connect for supported iOS configuration and publishing processes. You can generate and connect your Apple Developer API Key to link your Apple Developer account with your BuddyBoss App.

This connection uses your API Key file, Issuer ID, and Key ID to support iOS app management and publishing.

Generate Your API Key in App Store Connect

1. Sign in to App Store Connect with your Apple ID.
2. Navigate to Users and Access.
3. Select the Integrations tab.
4. Click the + button next to Active.
5. Enter a Name for the API key.
6. Under Access, select Admin.
7. Click Generate.
8. Locate the newly generated key and click Download API Key.
9. Copy your Issuer ID and Key ID. You will need these when connecting your account to BuddyBoss.

Important: The API key can only be downloaded once. Store the downloaded .p8 file securely.

Note: Admin access provides the permissions required for the supported BuddyBoss App processes. App Manager can also be used but may require additional manual steps during publishing.

Connect Your Apple Developer Account

1. In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to BuddyBoss App > Configure > iOS Settings.
2. Scroll to Connect Your Apple Developer Account.
3. Upload the .p8 API Key file you downloaded from App Store Connect.
4. Enter your Issuer ID.
5. Enter your Key ID.
6. Click Connect Account.

Once successfully connected, your Apple Developer account can be used for the supported iOS configuration and publishing processes in the BuddyBoss App.

Note: If you need to connect a different API key or Apple Developer account later, click Disconnect Account before connecting the new credentials.
