What is BP Maps for Members?
BP Maps for Members adds location maps to your BuddyBoss community, including both individual member profile maps and a site-wide directory map showing all member locations. Members add their location through BuddyBoss profile fields powered by the companion BP xProfile Location plugin, which validates addresses using the Google Places API.
Site visitors and members explore a filterable map of the entire community, searching by location and distance radius, member type, or keywords to find members near them or in a specific area. Individual member profiles get their own map tab showing that member’s location.
The plugin requires BuddyBoss Platform and BP xProfile Location, and uses the Google Maps API for rendering. Developed by PhiloPress and maintained by BuddyDev.

Template Override Support

How to Integrate BP Maps for Members with BuddyBoss
Setting up BP Maps for Members with BuddyBoss takes just a few minutes. Follow these steps to get started:

Install BP xProfile Location First
BP Maps for Members requires the BP xProfile Location plugin. Install and configure it first to add Google Places-validated address fields to BuddyBoss member profiles and registration.

Install BP Maps for Members
Purchase and download BP Maps for Members from philopress.com. Upload and activate via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Add Your Google Maps API Key
Go to Dashboard > Settings > BP Maps — Members. Enter your Google Maps API key. The plugin uses the Google Maps API for rendering maps and the Google Places API for address validation.

Select the Location Profile Field
In the settings, select the address profile field created by BP xProfile Location. This connects your member location data to the map display for both single member maps and the directory map.

Configure Map Options and Add to Your Site
Set parameters for single member maps and the all-members directory map. Enable member listings below the map if desired. Use the provided shortcode or template functions to add the members map to any page on your BuddyBoss site.
