BuddyBoss Media + BuddyBoss Integration
Give Every Member a Photo and Video Gallery on Their Profile
What is BuddyBoss Media?
BuddyBoss Media adds photo and video uploading to your BuddyPress community, connecting directly to member profiles, groups, activity feeds, forums, and private messages. Members upload photos and videos from their profiles or from inside any activity post, group, or forum topic.
They organize media into named albums with privacy controls, and everything syncs with the BuddyBoss activity feed so uploads appear in the community stream. Admins set upload permissions by user role, control file size limits, and enable moderation for uploaded content.
BuddyBoss Media is built by BuddyBoss and is already included as a native component in the BuddyBoss Platform. If you are running BuddyPress without the full platform, this plugin adds the same media capabilities as a standalone add-on.
Key Features of BuddyBoss Media
Photo Uploads on Profiles and Groups
Members upload photos directly from their profile Media tab or from inside any group. Photos appear in a gallery view and are visible based on album privacy settings.
Video Uploads Across the Platform
Members upload videos to their profile, group pages, activity posts, forum topics, and private messages. Video upload can be enabled or disabled per section from admin settings.
Album Creation and Management
Members create named albums to organize photos and videos. Albums support privacy visibility settings, and members can move media between albums at any time.
Media in Activity Feeds
Members attach photos and videos directly to activity updates. Uploaded media appears inline in the activity feed, visible to followers or group members based on post privacy settings.
Media in Forums and Messages
Members attach photos and videos to bbPress forum topics and private messages. Media appears inline in threads and conversations without requiring external links.
Admin Upload Controls
Admins set which user roles can upload media, configure maximum file sizes, limit photos per upload, and enable a moderation queue so uploads require approval before going public.
